Back Home and Recovering

Just a quick update.  I've been back home now for about 9 days after a 5 day hospital stay!  A one hour surgery turned into a 5 1/2 hour surgery due to complications.  Everything is ok now, I just have a huge 12" incesion on my chest.  Apparently they couldn't get to my gallbladder the easy way.  My poor surgeon tried for 2 hours before deciding to go in the old-fashion way to get my gallbladder.  So I have five cuts on me now that are healing well.  At least with all the itching I hope they are healing.  It's driving me crazy!!  My doctor released me to work at home this week and depending on how I feel after I see her again on Thrusday to get the remaining staples taken out, I may be going back to work on Monday.

It's nice to be working again.  I was going a little stir crazy just sitting around here doing nothing.

More to come here soon.  Just trying to get back on my feet.

Talk to ya'll later!

Update, New Item in the Shop, and also a Great Giveaway!

Hi Everyone!  I know it's been a long time since I last blogged, but now that everything has died down to a low roar...I'll be back to blogging at least 2-3 times a week now.

Tomorrow is my gall bladder surgery.  We have to be at the hospital at 5:45am!  It's insane.  I'm thinking about just not going to bed, but Sean doesn't think that's a good idea, so no food or liquids after midnight tonight and getting up at the butt-crack on dawn to get sliced open.  Sounds fun, eh?  At least I have a great surgeon!  She is awesome.
I'll be having the surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital here in Lafayette, CO.  It's an awesome hospital and very state-of-the art.  The hospital itself is only about 5-6 yrs old.  So I feel pretty good about it all.  Please keep Sean in your thoughts tomorrow.  He has to drop me off at the hospital and then drive to Greeley to take one of his final master's exams.  He has been studying forever for it and it's finally here.  I'm sure he will do great, but extra thoughts and prayers never hurt!

So onto the the new items in the shop!  I'm proud to say that I actually have been busy working and trying to get new stuff into the shop.  This quilted quick tote/wristlet is one of my many new items. These make great make-up bags, e-reader holders, and so much more.  Each one has a quilted front and everyone is embellished in a different way.  They are 12" wide and about 7" tall.  It has a zipper closure on the top also along with the wristlet handle on the side.  These would make perfect gifts for anyone.  They are $15.00 + shipping.  Check out the shop to see more color combos.

Ok...on to the most awesome giveaway!!  Over at The Domestic Diva's blog, she is giving away a Silhouette SD Electronic Cutting Machine Bundle!! I'm so excited about this giveaway!!  It would be great to win, but even if I don't, I think I'm going to go out and buy one.  You can just do so much with it.  Also, don't forget to join the Silhouette Blog.  They have some great ideas on how to utilize your machine.

Ok.  I think that was all I wanted to update everyone on.  Please don't forget to keep Sean and me in your prayer and also, more importantly, don't forget to sign up for that awesome giveaway!!

Laters!!

Busy! Busy! Busy!

Hi Everyone!!  Happy Friday!

Been really busy this past week working on orders and making new items for the Shop.  Here is just one creation that I made.  It's my Hobo Bag and it's to die for!!  If you just need a purse on-the-go, this is it!  Going to be making a couple of these to sell.  I wanted so bad to keep this one, but I have my eye on some fabric that I just can't wait to make myself one out of.

I also made some awesome Market Day Totes!!  These things are huge!  They are great farmer's market bags, library totes, (I actually keep my crocheting projects in one), whatever you want bag!  I LOVE THEM!!

Beginning of a New Day

Waking up is always a hard thing for me to do.  I'm definitely not what you would call a "morning person", but ever since I lost my normal 40-hour a week job, I have been waking up with "to-do" lists in my head.  So many ideas running around up there, it's scary.

So I have decided to try blogging again.  I always come across the best stuff when surfing the web for ideas and I might as well share them with everyone while I'm at it.

So sit back, relax and grab a cup of caffeine, which is usually mandatory here and  read about all the treasure I find and create.

Thanks for stopping by!!
